Meet Grace Moseley! She’s fairly new to our team here at Tom Smith, as she joined us three months ago as a creative designer. Since then she’s sunk her teeth into her work at the Export team where she designs for all products, wrap, gift bags, crackers and gift tags too. So far she’s already started work on our trends projects and even our 2018 collection!
What have you learnt that’s new this year?
I’ve learnt an extensive amount during my short time at IG – developed my software skills (Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign) and a greater understanding of Printing/manufacturing processes
What’s your favourite part of your job?
Working on a project from start to finish – this allows me to apply myself as much as possible and the chance for new product development ideas to develop.
If you could swap your job for a week with someone else at the company, who would it be and why?
Someone who gets the chance to travel within their job
Who’s your favourite person at work and why?
The whole team – they’re amazing!
What are your hobbies?
Going for big walks!
If you could design and make anything in the world, what would it be?
I’d love to design my own camper van to take on road trips!
What’s your favourite colour?
What’s your fondest memory whilst working for the company?
My fondest memory so far is seeing my designs being displayed in the showrooms for 2018 collections
What’s your favourite Tom Smith product?
The crackers – always beautifully finished with luxury ties and decorations
What’s your favourite Tom Smith fact?
My favorite Tom Smith history moment is the fact the cracker started from the idea of a sugared almond wrapped in a twist of tissue paper.
What would be your ideal content in your cracker?
A good joke that gets everyone laughing!
What’s your favourite 2017 trend and why?
The 2017 Contemporary Foliage collection – because of the variety of textures and prints and the combination of traditional tartan with contemporary rustic hand-illustrative foliage. I particularly like the range of gift bags as the collection provides three completely different yet complimentary designs
What’s your favourite part of Christmas?
Dinner time! Everyone comes together to enjoy a yummy feast
