A Visit to the Palace

Last week we were thrilled to head to London to visit the state rooms of Buckingham Palace. Every year since our Royal Warrant was awarded, we’ve been proud to design a bespoke range of Christmas Crackers specifically for the British Royal Family. Our first Royal Warrant was awarded in 1906 by the then Prince of Wales.

This year, our new Design Manager, Julia Richardson, and our Brand Manager Katie Brickle, were thrilled to accept an invitation to the Buckingham Palace State Rooms which are now open to the general public. The new exhibition at the state rooms was a wonderful place for us to see craftsmanship from across the globe as the palace exhibited gifts made to the Royal Family from the past 65 years. According to the palace website, “The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, gives and receives gifts on a variety of occasions, including state visits at home and abroad and tours of Commonwealth countries” and “the gifts chosen often represent traditional skills or are of cultural significance. “

Julia and her design team will be designing the Bespoke Christmas Crackers for Her Majesty the Queen this year, which, like many of our crackers are individually designed and handcrafted. Taking inspiration from the variety, craftsmanship and heritage of this collection, we’re sure that this year, the crackers that Julia and her team design will be as beautiful as ever.
